There are a number of times during the year when the demand for available hotel rooms outpaces the existing supply. During these periods visitors are willing to pay a premium for lodging. In addition, many visitors PREFER the comfort and amenities of a home to a hotel room. Often a listed home provides easier access to desired events or locations than remote hotels. Other visitors like to share the expense of lodging among a group which makes a home which sleeps 4 or more a desirable alternative. How much does it cost? Private home listing is certainly not for everyone. Many people list furnished rental properties which are not their primary residence.
